What title will you give your zine?
I will title my Zine "Animation with cats" because it sounds fun and active, like animation is, and it portrays my love for cats and the way they inspire my art almost all the time.

Will it be expository (straight-forward presentation of your work)?
I will present my work, in a form of introduction. As if my work was its own character and I am introducing it to the audience, or viewer.

Include a reference to any visual sources that will be a source of inspiration in the design of your zine.
I am mostly inspired by cartoons and really colorful or exaggerated art styles, such as colorful paintings and comics/manga.

Curriculum Vitae Exercise

I plan to use my curriculum vitae to present myself, my ideals and my work to future employers.
My goals are to graduate from college and get a job as an animator. But at the same time, I want to be able to keep in touch and build friendships along the way. I look forward to showing my parents and family all of my accomplishments and live a life surrounded by my loved ones and never lose sight of them for the sake of a job and money. I would say I am different from others for that same reason, I like to work hard and collaborate with others. I like to get things done, and find different ways to solve a problem. I also consider my art very positive, I focus on the bright side of things and I lam always getting inspiration from my loved ones.
I would describe myself as nice, hard working, punctual, artistic, and a little funny. The most important thing I want people to know about me is that though I am really nice and I look young and small, I am very determined and I like to face my fears to achieve the goals I set to myself.
So far most of my job experience has been in customer satisfaction and teamwork. My first job was a hostess at a restaurant and now I work at a pet store. I specifically chose those jobs because I wanted to learn to talk to people, and learn communication skills. I have volunteered at Dallas Methodist Hospital, and I have interned at a vet clinic before, back when my main interest was in a career as a veterinarian. But the most interesting course I have studied was 3d Animation I. Animation was what I really wanted to learn, and I was very surprised when I walked into the classroom and explored for the first time the art of animation, I was amazed at all the factors that make an animation believable, especially the science part of it. Who knew that knowledge about gravity and human anatomy would help in the making of a 3d animated work.
I can speak fluently both English and Spanish, and I'm studying French on my own time. I am fascinated by cultures and languages so in the future I hope to travel to learn more about other cultures and their languages.

Personal Branding
My name is Brenda Quijano. I am a student at Richland Community College and I aspire to be an animator. I have a passion for drawing and creating characters, and my love for animals and cultures as well as the events of everyday life are always inspiring my art.

I enjoy helping other people and find ways to add humor to stressful situations. I love cartoons and going to the movie theater and watch mostly the animated movies, but I also enjoy scary and horror films that have thrilling and mysterious stories and characters. I also like to learn about cultures and languages, I pride in my Mexican roots and keep the Spanish language close to my heart, but I'm also open to knowing more about other languages. I particularly love the French language and I like to find ways to learn it online, I also like the Japanese language and learn as much as I can from it by watching anime. I also love music and you can find songs in varies languages scattered in my iPod.

I enjoy working and learning new things. I like to pass on the word on new things that I learn and I'm my goal is to use my animation and characters to teach people facts and values that I've learned,
I am the older sister in my house so I am always helping out my younger siblings get to school and helping with their homework. After school, I usually head to work, I am a part time employee at Petsmart. I love animals and learning about them, which makes my job an enjoyable place to be in. I am always finding more information about the animals to share with the customers, and find ways to make the animals feel more comfortable at the store.

I am fairly new on social media, but I am slowly becoming more active in social networks to share my arts. Lately I've been experimenting with Youtube and Artstation. But I've also shared some work on other sources such as Instagram and Deviantart
I am always looking for more information about the things that surround me. From learning more facts about animals to more facts about different cultures and words from different languages, there is always something new to learn that will inspire new forms of art and different ways to complete a task, and I am always ready to learn something new, not only to improve my art but also to share what I learn with the people around me.
